The Wedding Slideshow

Thank you, dear friends, for your prayers and support over the past few years.  Last month, January, we witnessed The Lord's restoration as our daughter, Carrie, married Paul in San Diego.  I collected my favorite photos and assembled them in a slideshow.  We haven't received the photographer's photos yet; those will come later!  Enjoy!

    Oh, my goodness, Mary!!!! Your news fills me with great joy for Carrie, Susanna and Paul! What a wonderful God we serve. And what a testimony Carrie has. She is such an amazing young woman.

    Simply beautiful! Oh Mary, I remember how much pain was involved over the years. And now the Lord has brought healing and love once again for Carrie. So thankful and happy for her and for you my friend.

Massive Wave; Need Prayer!

A few days ago, I dreamt that I was on the beach and a massive wave was approaching the shore but I didn’t move. I wondered why? It’s hard to write now on my blog. I’m going to focus on the Lord in prayer and His Word for a few weeks so please don’t worry about me. I need your prayers and encouragement. Your blogs lift me up when I visit you; I’m blessed to know so many bloggers who love Jesus and I will continue to read your posts and be inspired! Know that I hold your prayer requests near and dear to my heart and will continue to pray faithfully for you. That is a promise! The spiritual battle against my family rages. A Memorial Day Reflection

  Memorial Day is always noteworthy for me and my girls.  Next Thursday marks the third year of missing their father, my husband. So many thoughts  run through my mind.  The journey of loss takes on various emotions.  The strongest feeling, at first, was emptiness.  In a split second, I would forget he departed forever.  I imagined things I needed to talk to him about when he got back home.  My mind is realistic now.  He's not coming back.  There will be no more times of sitting on the porch swing together on the front deck staring at the moon and the stars.  He would tell me all he knew about the majestic night sky. I have so much I wish I could tell him, like the excitement of seeing our oldest grandchild make a decision to follow Jesus and get baptized on Mother's Day!  And our little Amy, 11 years old, I wish he could have seen her on stage receiving her induction to the National Honor Society.
