It’s always a good idea to begin a Christian prayer meeting with repentance. I noticed a bit of imbalance, however, in a Christian prayer group I joined meeting on Zoom. Racism in our country, and the world for that matter, grips the hearts of prayer warriors. We want to present ourselves clean and pure before Almighty God as we talk to Him about all the chaos we face. In my opinion, the leaders of the group over-emphasized White privilege and repented too long. Though I agree we all need to educate ourselves as to the misfortunes of the early Black plantations with its hurts and bitter mistreatment, I see a pattern of groups using the victim card and perpetrating hate every time the evil one instills our nation to riot.
