Satan has you distracted with drama in one area of your life so he can
attack you in a completely different area of your life.
Miles McPherson
The best way to defeat Satan is to remember that Jesus won
the victory when He died on the cross. Close
relationship with Jesus is the key. That
probably means something different to each of us because our relationships vary. Nevertheless, our passion for Jesus wins the
battle for us every time.
I felt heavily oppressed yesterday and so did my husband
as well as my daughter, over 500 miles away.
Did we look vulnerable to the enemy?
We stayed united and consistent in God’s Word. We had our ears toward whatever the Lord
would say to us. Today is so much
better I'm happy to report!
I listened to an inspiring message about the 23rd
Psalm on the way to work. The speaker mentioned
how we Christians are marked and the enemy knows the Shepherd’s sheep. The teacher shared a testimony about a
converted man who was delivered from evil.
He was a wizard with an assignment to go into churches and curse
Christians on Sunday mornings during sermons.
His delight was seeing people fight over the teachings and chewing up
the pastor with complaints and criticism.
To the wizard’s amazement, he could never touch the Christians who had a
passionate relationship with Jesus. The
curses bounced right off of them. They were
marked and devils knew it. This
experience made a believer out of him!
I stopped my CD player and prayed for myself and every
member of my family to be marked for Jesus covering them with his saving blood so
that the enemy will not be able to touch them.
I can’t think of anything greater to be passionate about than the Lord. His name is deliverer.

This post is wise and wonderful. Thank you for sharing and encouraging.
ReplyDeleteI always try to remember to praise Him because He inhabits our praises. As I praise Him, He reminds me of what He has done, and my faith increases.
And the shield of faith quenches EVERY fiery dart of the enemy.
Hallelujah!
A M E N!!!
ReplyDeleteThis was "yes and amen" to me today Mary!
Thank you for this reminder.
And yes, passion for Jesus is the key to everything in this life!
The devil hates that!
Hugs to you my sister in Christ! xo

Oh yes, the best place to be is in close relationship with Jesus. Our enemy wants us to forget who we are in Him. So important to realize we have an enemy too. Great post Mary!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love,
Debbie
Yes, Deliverer. BUT my husband's word was buried in me and I've loved it ever since: Redeemer. Only HE can break through the walls and soften our hearts and keep us focused on Him for our protection and His vibrant love.
ReplyDeleteThanks much.
Just a closer walk with Jesus and Lord put your mark on me. Thank you for posting your delightful story of winning the battle. Thanks for sharing at Tell Me a Story.
ReplyDeleteI have special people coming over for a visit that in a way, had me pleading for more of His protection. As I got involved with said people I dearly love years ago after the Lord had me find out they were going through the enemies' attacks. Of course, our last encounters, the enemies tried to destroy. So, we parted not in a good term. I love the reminder from Nahum 1:9 that you shared. His Word gave me a different perspective and reminded me not to be afraid. Because the second time around, I am claiming His healing, His restoration, His victory over my relationship with said loved ones. And God-willing, in His perfect time, may the time together produce deliverance. To God be the glory! Thank you for your encouraging words!!!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if there's ever a day (or an hour) when we don't need a reminder of this sort? Thank God we have His strength; and that He has our backs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a timely post for me today...I believe the Lord lead me here to read it...thanks for posting and for the reminder...Now I am putting on the armor of God
ReplyDeleteThese are great words of wisdom and a reminder to pray for our family and ourselves. The enemy is prowling like a hungry lion seeking to devour us. It is the hand of God that holds back utter destruction in our lives and world.
ReplyDeleteWhen we fear the world and the enemy, we discount and disrespect the majesty of our Father. He is the one who provides the very power and breath of all living beings. He is the One we are to fear, He is the One we are to dread. (Isaiah 8:13 just came to mind)
Inspiring post. Thank you!
Mary, what a timely post this is, and the passage you shared from Nahum is one I have not read for a long long time. It felt so good to see those verses again (in fact, I looked them up right now, and was quite delighted to read the entire passage:
ReplyDeleteThe Lord is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him,
but with an overwhelming flood
he will make an end of Nineveh;
he will pursue his foes into the realm of darkness.
Whatever they plot against the Lord
he will bring to an end;
trouble will not come a second time.
They will be entangled among thorns
and drunk from their wine;
they will be consumed like dry stubble.
I pray all has continued to go well with you and your family.
Love
Lidia
