Psalm 121
1-2 I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains?
No, my strength comes from God, who made heaven, and earth, and mountains.
3-4 He won't let you stumble, your Guardian God won't fall asleep. Not on your life!
Israel's Guardian will never doze or sleep.
5-6 God's your Guardian, right at your side to protect you— Shielding you from sunstroke, sheltering you from moonstroke.
7-8 God guards you from every evil, He guards your very life. He guards you when you leave and when you return, he guards you now, he guards you always.
I'm reflecting on this psalm today as I pack for my drive home early tomorrow morning. Thank you for your loving prayers for my visit. We are grateful for all the safety that has surrounded us as we have been out so much all around San Diego. As I drive home alone, I'm trusting in God's protection!
May you enjoy your Sunday and a special thanks to Ginger and Charlotte for hosting Spiritual Sundays.
What a perfect Psalm for your drive home! I'll be praying for you Mary. May your drive be pleasant and that you find time to pray and sing. Trust the Lord with ALL of your needs and loved ones. I'm learning that too.
