Maybe We Need A King



I hung up the phone and wanted to do cartwheels all over my office and dance, too. I had been talking with my boss for about ten minutes when he referred to Jesus as King of everything!

The economy has hit us hard here in Arizona, especially in the housing industry. Our office has sold homes consistently nonetheless, so our owner calls often to discuss business. In our conversation this week, he referred to our current white house administration. Then Mr. Boss said this: “I’m thinking that maybe we need a king this next election.” And I said: “Oh, no Boss! What if we don’t like him? We won’t be able to vote him out in four years! The only king I would consider is King Jesus.” Then he said: “Jesus is already king; He’s king of everything!”

Today, I’m thanking God for this conversation. I’m thanking Him that down deep inside, I realize that my boss knows the King of Kings and I can’t express how liberated that makes me feel. We share the same hope!

    You can almost hear the buzz as many conversations of this same sort are carried on all over this globe. Has man ever been so stymied?

    How amazing to think we could witness the return of that King any day; and not a day too soon!

    I've a couple friends who are non-believers ... it hurts my heart, but I pray nonetheless they "wake up" some day.

    Isn't it just the best that our King promises a yoke that is easy and a burden that is light? He is the wisest Ruler, the Prince of Peace - and He rules with the absolute power of Love!

    Halleluah Mary!! Having a believer and being equally yoked with your boss is SUCH a gift and a blessing! Makes being under his authority sooo much easier!

    Knowing the King of Kings is Coming just brings such JOY and great anticipation :) ...May we be found being about HIS Business!!

A Memorial Day Reflection

  Memorial Day is always noteworthy for me and my girls.  Next Thursday marks the third year of missing their father, my husband. It's Not Always About the Tomatoes

I like to travel with buddies and rename them.  I vacationed in Costa Rica with Lupe who loves margaritas   and gets a little loopy.   I don’t drink but I’m a fun gal.  Just ask my co-worker, Frank.  I nicknamed him Jellyfish.  I packed my underwater camera.  Jellyfish can hold his breath really long.  He modeled for my underwater photo shoot in the colossal pool at the resort our company chose for us. I am fascinated with rain forests so my favorite thing to do in Costa Rica is to take walks in them.  I signed up for the tour of an organic cacao working farm.  Lupe chose it too.  A group of us piled into tractors to view crops of watermelon, mango, rice and cattle while we chewed on natural sugar cane, their largest product.  We observed monkeys, Toucans, and sloths. A Christmas Card for You

Merry Christmas, friends!  I cherish every one of you.  Your friendship means so much to me and I know I am a blessed woman to be connected with so many wonderful men and women who inspire me throughout the year.  I look forward to the coming year with you   I wish for you that God will bless you, your family, your relationships, your work, and your gift of writing and lead you powerfully in the New Year.   This Scripture turned up in my reading this morning and I claim it for us in 2017.  As we draw close to Jesus today and in the coming year, may we see Him in one another!
