Welcome to another edition of Friday Funnies, hosted by Kim at Homesteader's Heart! No need to take off your shoes before you enter, but a good idea to wipe your feet on my new doormats. What do you think of them? Hugs to all of you who drop by and have a wonderful day!
I’m currently in one of those places where you lay out all the options and then you make the best decision. It seems, however, like none of the choices are fair or attractive. I know God will help me in my situation because I desire His guidance. I’m clinging to His Word which promises that ALL things work together for good for those that love God and are called according to His purpose, Romans 8:28. I heard a great teaching this week about seeking God’s will and all the freedom that surrender brings. We can know that God is bringing about a victory if we trust Him with each and every decision. The speaker illustrated his point with a famous painting. The painting depicts a look of despair on the chess player’s face. He’s playing Satan and his soul is at stake. It looks like Satan is winning. Checkmate! When Paul Morphy saw this painting back in the 1800’s, he set up a chess board and aligned the pieces to reflect the painting. Oh hilarious. Loved the last one. I think I may need to find that one! Ha!
ReplyDeleteHave a super duper fabulous Friday my friend.
Kim
Those made me laugh out loud! I love that last one especially!
ReplyDeleteHere's a cute one I just got in my email:
I just saw a politician fall off the bridge into the river this morning at 8 a.m.
Being a responsible citizen, I immediately informed emergency services.
It's now 4 p.m. and they still haven't responded.
I'm beginning o think that I wasted a stamp! :)
Hugs!
My favorite?
ReplyDeleteThe one from the dog!
Of course, I also like the one about the underwear - don't ask me why - my humor's a little warped!!
Have a wonderful weekend!
How funny! I like the last one, too. It just might keep a few people from knocking on my door! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGot dirt one was my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThose are toooo funny! Thanks ever so for the laughs!
ReplyDeleteYou must think I'm awful for not responding before now! Every time I thought to pop over, something distracted me, then I had to get off the computer for a while, then I forgot, then... Just a never-ending cycle. Please know that I SOOOOO appreciate your prayers... more than I can say! Knowing that God has only good plans for me is so encouraging when things don't look so rosy. 8-]
Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^
