I’m counting it all joy this Wednesday along with Angel at All The Muse.
We started the week off with another sale! We’re grateful for the Lord’s provision.
A rainstorm moved upon us over the weekend blessing us with a half-inch of water that fell and was ever so refreshing in this hot desert! But most days, we have to water all our trees and flowers and our vegetable garden. I joined my husband this morning at 6:00 a.m. and forty five minutes later, we were done. The corn is high! It looks like we’ll have a bunch of pumpkins this year. Pretty soon I’ll be picking the peaches and making pie! Yum.
I leave you with a good word that I found this morning in John 10:29:
I was so encouraged when I saw this. I believe and continue to pray for loved ones who have walked away from Jesus. May they come home soon! Talk about joy!
You, sweet sis, are a true joy to my heart. I love you.
ReplyDeleteWow Mary! I am soooo impressed ~ you have such a beautiful garden!!! That is the one thing my daddy was going to do with me this summer....we were going to plant a garden in my back yard. He drew it all out and we made the plans....I just couldn't bring myself to do it yet without him ~ maybe next year.
ReplyDeleteI love the Word you shared today! It speaks volumes!!
Love you
My mom has a "green thumb" that didn't get passed on to me :)....How sweet that must be to make something in your kitchen from the fruits of your own labor. The pumpkin and the other stuff are so healthy! Despite the ever changing weather....Reminds me if we are truly rooted in Him, nothing will ever dry us, always green and fruitful no matter the seasons! I love the way you ended this post with His powerful and true Word! I'm claiming that promise as I read it now. Thank you for this sister Mary. Thank you for sharing the joy that overflows and got rubbed off of me. God bless. Love to you sister.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and powerful grace filled WORD. Would love a bite of the peach pie when you make it (smile).
ReplyDeleteI love you dear one!
Thank you for sharing your joy, your pictures and the prayer at the end.
ReplyDeleteMary, I loved seeing the pictures of your garden. Good for you! Maybe you could share a few pointers with me in the future.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder. My heart aches for loved ones who either don't yet know the Lord and those who have walked away for a time.
Congrats on the sale!
Love you,
Debbie
Your post today is refreshing and encouraging. I enjoyed the pictures also.
ReplyDeleteLove your JOY list!! Those pictures are great. I am slightly jealous of your garden and the fact that you will be making fresh peach pie!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the heat you guys get. I guess we will be witnessing it first hand in a couple of weeks when we are traveling through!! Yikes!!
Love and Blessings
What a beautiful garden! You're making me hungry, talking about peaches and pie! My absolute favorite dessert is my mother's homemade peach pie. It's the best!
ReplyDeletePlease send some of that rain our way...we really need it!
I enjoyed visiting your yard today. :-)
AMEN! What an awesome verse!
ReplyDeleteYour garden is beautiful. Everything here is withering away. Even our tomato plants died and that was with us giving them water.
Praying GOD is continuing to pour HIMSELF out to you and through you!
Big hugs, lots of love and prayers,
andrea
Mary:
ReplyDeleteYou are wonderful gardeners!! I don't even want to GO outside it's so hot! But you have made me at least rethink it :)
Isn't it wonderful that the vegetables grow so beautifully even in the hot desert days... I really do love your garden, as well as the scripture... it's always been a comfort to me to read that verse.
Hugs!
