Thankful Thursday ~ Life


The Spirit of God has made me,

The breath of the Almighty gives me life.

Job 33:4


I pause on this journey called "life" and give thanks today first to Father God who gave His only Son so that I can have life and have it to the full!

I thank Jesus for healing that flows from Him. My daughter is recovering from her illness and I know God is restoring her joy. I, too, am trying to help her smile. I took her to Mission Beach and encouraged her to ride "Chaos", a fun amusement ride that helps forget all the chaos that life sometimes brings.

    I am thankful to open up blogger and find you here. I was just thinking about you. GOD is indeed amazing! I am glad your daughter is doing much better.
    That ride looks scary to me. Just a note...if you want to encourage me can we keep the adventures a little closer to the ground...hahaha. I am sure she had a great time.

    I just love your zest for LIFE....you are such a fun and joyous MOMMA and grandmother! I know just having you there is medicine in itself!

    Is she and Susanna coming back with you for Thanksgiving?

    Praise God that she is feeling better. I'm so glad that are available to be there with her during this trying time in her life. I'm sure Susanna is happy to see Grandma.

    I wish I had my mom with me. It's times when we go through major life challenges that there's nothing like a hug from mom. Of course, the Lord is sufficient but it's also comforting to feel the loving arms of mom too.

    Glad to know that your daughter is feeling okay now. Thank You Lord for answered prayers.

    I don't know about that ride. Being "80" now, I feel like my "life is over" if I get on it.

    I love the verse you shared from Job, the man who went through chaos himself.

    You are a great and sweet "mom and grandma" and may the Lord sustain you with His strength, guidance, protection and bless you abundantly same with your family.

    I love Mission Beach...Mission Bay...Seaworld...but not that ride...Thank you. LOL.

    If we ever have an outing for bloggers, I'll definitely stay by sister Andrea's side most of the time :) Love ya sister.

    What a cool mom! Nothing like a theme park to bring out the child in all of us. In fact, I confess I LOVE Disneyland; more so today than when I was younger.

    Wow! A day at the amusement park, what fun! It seems like your daughter is better indeed. Healthy or not, I think that ride would do me in. :-)

    You're a great mama to be there for your daughter and grandbaby (who is a cutie!) They're so lucky to have you.

    Hi Mary! I wanted to pop in and wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. I'm so grateful to God for His presence along our life's journeys. He does indeed offer us the recipe to turn chaos into calm - amen! We are heading to Atlanta. Then Kevin goes on a business trip and I will go to Florida to spend some time with my baby boy. This time last year, God spared his life - it was a much much different kind of visit then. And what a Jesus Year has followed - PTL! Love you!

Marriage Tip #44: Do What He Wants

I thought about our upcoming anniversary.   I prayed one morning for the marriages in my family, and a sentence about my own dropped in my spirit:  “ Do What He Wants .”  I paused, “Really?”  He’s his own man.  What if I end up in the wilderness camping by night and target shooting by day?  What if a coyote decides to have me as a late night snack? Hearts for the Kingdom Author Interview

When I finished reading Hearts for the Kingdom last week, I contacted the author, Cho Larson.   We talked about the book and he graciously agreed to be my guest today.  Together we hope to inspire you in your journey of faith to pursue God with a heart that is alive and beating for the Kingdom of God.
