Psalm 91
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

A big thank you to you friends who prayed for me today. I arrived safely in San Diego. Your prayers were strengthening, I'll tell you, when I got into the city and four lanes of traffic merged into another four lanes and I had to make sure I was on the correct route. I couldn't have done it without the Lord's help through your prayers and Amy's calm co-piloting!
When we began our road trip this morning and entered our first interstate at about 4:45 a.m. it was pitch black out. We followed a big semi with the back panel of his truck lit up with these words: Jesus is Lord. I thought this was worthy of a Spiritual Sunday post!

Praise God for your safe arrival my friend.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you arrived safely and what a blessing to follow a truck that said Jesus is Lord. That had to let you know the Lord was watching over you all the way. Enjoy your trip. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWOW...a total of 8 lanes. GOD Bless you. It reminds me of driving through Atlanta to get to my sister in Pensacola, Fla.
ReplyDelete"JESUS IS LORD"....love it and love you!
Be safe and know we are praying for you to be completely overwhelmed by GOD's presence and touch!
Blessings and prayers, andrea
Worthy indeed...Praise God for your safe arrival, and His reminder He is always there with the sign on that truck. How awesome is our God. Blessings to you, Debbie
ReplyDeleteThanking the Lord for your safe arrival, I loved the thought of you following the truck that said Jesus is Lord! Now how cool is that. I will be praying His blessings on you during your trip.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sue
Thanks for letting us know you arrived safely, Mary.
ReplyDeleteI, too, like to take refuge on the highway, by shadowing the 18-wheelers. How prophetic that fate would have your path meet with that special trucker! I wonder if he's aware what comfort his message brings to others?
Enjoy your stay!
Myra
We just went through Los Angeles last week-end, so I can relate to your dismay at 8 lanes...it can be intimidating and scary. I've seen trucks with similar signs...it always blesses my heart to see it, and I say a prayer for the driver. Jesus is Lord...yes, He is!
ReplyDeleteGod bless,
Mary
I hope you enjoy sunny Southern California - I am so looking forward to it cooling down..

ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you've arrived safe and sound. Thank you for sharing. Have a good Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThe awesome response when I posted about a prayer request for my son was overwhelming for me and moved me into tears. I was just telling my family that we must pray Psalm 91 and there you go, you posted it this morning and gave me goose bumps as I opened your house's door :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you arrived at your destination safely. How comforting that in blackness of the dawn, you are following that Light!
Thank you sister Mary for your prayers. I truly appreciate your friendship. Take care of yourself and enjoy your Sunday. Praising the Lord Who deserves all our thanks. Love you.
You are right. This did make a good post. I know your feeling about being on those freeways. When we lived in L.A. I drove up and down those things like crazy--and also San Diego. But now, I don't like them so much. I'm glad you arrived safe and sound.
ReplyDeleteIsn't God good! How awesome is that.
ReplyDeletePraying for you and the rest of your time in San Diego.
Praise God for His protection and answer to prayers.
ReplyDeleteGod is so good. I love those little God winks such as the truck that said Jesus is Lord. He is so intimate and such a loving Father.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you arrived safely. I think God had you following that truck for a reason. I know it gave you confidence. Thank you for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Charlotte

I love this! I know another blogger who had a similar incident. God uses vehicles. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog. I'm a bit behind in blog visits but glad I'm here.
My Sweet & Smiling Friend,
ReplyDeleteEven though I haven't been around much on others blogs of late, I knew that you were traveling. Sometimes I get on and just read without commenting and it's usually in the wee hours of the morning.
I'm so blessed by this post. God is so awesome and of coarse so is Psalm 91 as that's the Psalm that is the Heading in my blog. I so love that Psalm and take such rest in it.
Praise God with His sign to you on that back panel of the semi: Jesus is Lord. Absolutely awesome my friend.
My prayers continue and have always been with you sweet friend. I love you dearly.
Love, Prayers & Big Hugs,
Alleluiabelle
