Spiritual Sundays


Thank you Ginger and Charlotte for hosting Spiritual Sundays and encouraging all of us! Today I am sharing a scripture that is upholding us in a deep spiritual battle. My daughter and I want to thank everyone who has been praying for us. We are deeply grateful and know that God is contending with those that are contending with us. We want to take some time this week while we are together to fast and pray for others. I know many of your concerns that we can pray for. Do feel free to email me if we can serve you in prayer. I love each one of you and cherish our friendships! May the Lord bless you as we enter into a new week.


No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD. Isa. 54:17

    One of my fav powerful Scripture, a wonderful promise that the Lord is always by our side, fighting for us. May the Lord surround you and your family with His Holy Blood and His army of angels...When we bend our knees, the enemies tremble so with His Armor and incessant prayers, you will overcome. We're there right beside you, fighting with you..God bless sister Mary and love you in Christ.

A Memorial Day Reflection

  Memorial Day is always noteworthy for me and my girls.  Next Thursday marks the third year of missing their father, my husband. So many thoughts  run through my mind.  The journey of loss takes on various emotions.  The strongest feeling, at first, was emptiness.  In a split second, I would forget he departed forever.  I imagined things I needed to talk to him about when he got back home.  My mind is realistic now.  He's not coming back.  There will be no more times of sitting on the porch swing together on the front deck staring at the moon and the stars.  He would tell me all he knew about the majestic night sky. I'm Going as Abigail This Year

I vote for more purses, toothbrushes, cups, storybooks, and Halloween costumes that feature Abigail of the Old Testament.  She is a heroin worthy to emulate, in my opinion, even more than Cinderella. Once upon a time, there was a kind woman by the name of Abigail who lived with a surly man who liked to drink a lot and have parties.  One time, King David and his army were very hungry and entered the surly man’s homestead and asked if they could come to his barbecue.  The king had a right to ask because he and his men protected the homestead’s boundary lines.  The surly man said “No.  Get off my property.”  The King had a temper and became offended. Rescued!

Everybody likes the thought of being safe.  Who wants to be left out in the cold?  Not me.  That’s why I tacked Psalm 59:16 to a winter photo and shared it on my Facebook page. But as for me, I will sing about your power.      Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge,      a place of safety when I am in distress. An unusual cold air mass came through our part of the state a few weeks ago when I posted that photo.  My friend, Peggy, left a comment of how God specifically rescued her the cold night before giving muscle power to my photo creation of Scripture and snow! Peggy drove to Sedona to have dinner with friends despite the cold front and dipping temperatures.  At about 8:00 p.m. she noticed a problem with her car on the drive back home on that dark, main highway.  The red dashboard lights came on and her vehicle overheated.  Peggy pulle...
