Paga in Hebrew means to encounter or meet or entreat and make intercession. A few years ago, I attended a class on prayer using Dutch Sheets’ book, Intercessory Prayer. Another name for intercessory prayer time is called a “she bear meeting”. You don’t get between a bear and her cubs. There will be an ugly meeting. This is called “Paga!”
This video reminded me of that study. It is the story of a stray bear cub who encounters a cougar and is in perilous danger. There is a surprise ending that reflects the meaning of Paga!

Hi there Smiley,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great little clip! Funny how the cat reminded me of Satan trying to devour the little cub and then help arrived just in time! Praise God, it's just like that for us too! Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful and restful Sunday.
Blessings,
Sandi
"Paga!" Wow! To think we are doing so well warding off the enemies' flaming arrows....God is behind us, the Mighty Tower of Refuge and Strength...that scared the "hell" out of him.

Isaiah says it best -- "He is our rear guard"!

I wonder if anyone can truly comprehend the power and privilege of prayer? Perhaps one day, when the Lord returns, and we see more completely His work & ways, we'll be blown away by those things that continue to be so mysterious to us today.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these thoughts and the video. I won't soon forget the analogy.
Be blessed!

I saw this years ago and cried for the little cub when hurt (I know silly) but this time I cried when the mama was in the background standing in defense! LisaShaw said it best and took the words right out of my mouth. I thought of those two scriptures exacting while watching! Thanks for sharing it! Hope your day is blessed! Dutch Sheets is a favorite of mine too!
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteThis video clip brought tears to my eyes when the mama bear rushed to her little one's defense and the happy baby was back in his Mama's arms. God is ever watching over us and for that I am so very grateful.
Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Jean
