I
feel eerie when I think of last weekend, Mother's Day, and how I received a bouquet of roses that turned into a prophetic message.
My daughter carefully unwrapped the store bought flowers as I filled my
vase with water. She whispered the
Peace Rose is her favorite and that's why she chose it for me. As healthy as the bunch of roses were, we
noticed one stem that lost its flower head as soon as we lifted it. My daughter had an idea. She carried it from the kitchen to my office and
placed the lone Peace rose next to my desktop with hopes the flower would cheer
me as I worked in that room.
She
positioned the Peace rose on my Jerusalem plaque.
The
next day brought a historical event both in Israel and the USA when President
Trump moved the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. I felt jubilant as I watched the event on my
computer screen. I celebrated Israel’s
70th birthday from afar and smiled when I viewed the dancing in the
streets along with signs of gratitude waving at cameras.
Hours after the embassy presentation, the terrorists attacked and the media misinformed the public with lies
of Israel killing their Palestinian Gaza neighbors when clearly they were
defending their borders. I watched in
amazement when I read the social media posts of people visiting Israel whom I trust and they revealed the truth.
Eight-one percent of the killed were terrorists!
I
felt angry that misrepresentation occurred after a wonderful victory. Clearly Scripture states in Genesis 17: 7-8:
“I
will prepare an agreement between me and you.
This agreement will also be for your descendants. It will continue forever. I will be your God and the God of all your
descendants. I will give this land to
you and to all your descendants. I
will give you the land you are traveling through, the land of Canaan. I will give you this land forever, and I will
be your God.”
Pray
for the peace of Jerusalem!
Your lone peace rose resting atop the plaque speaks volumes!
ReplyDeleteI've grown so disgusted with what passes for journalism these days. Not unlike the National Enquirer, sensationalism sells. I just never dreamed it would extend to our evening news. Prayers for the peace of Jerusalem!
I regret the loss of people in Jerusalem, the holy city of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. There, Palestinians died, not terrorists.
ReplyDeleteI regret that journalists are falsifying information.
Maria, I wish you a blessed week.
Greetings from Poland.
Lucja
I felt the same way you did.
ReplyDeleteThat image of the faded rose on your Pray for Jerusalem plaque is so beautiful. God has indeed brought His Jewish people back to their homeland, and He is fulfilling His Word before the world to see. May we continue to pray for His ways to be acknowledged! And what a beautiful Mother's Day bouquet!
ReplyDeleteI felt the same as you, and have grown so frustrated with the media, that I rarely watch the mainstream news. They twist everything and I feel I can't believe most of what they say. Your flowers are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your beautiful words.
ReplyDeleteWe have a famous song, where the singer asks the journalist : how do you sleep at night, my little journalist with all those lies of yours?
The media, the journalists - meant to be the watchdogs of democracy- have known better times.Nowadays their credibility is extremely low or non-existent.
The beauty of your roses certainly bring peace. How lovely is the one placed near the Scriptures.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to even watch the mainstream news, it's disappointing time after time.
Genesis 17:7-8 is such a wonderful promise in the Word of God, and we can claim and hold tight to God's promises.
Your Mother's Day roses are lovely ♡
Such beautiful roses! I do believe we need to continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Several psalms do mention it; it is obviously something important to the Lord. Israel indeed is his chosen people.

I haven't been paying attention to news for a very long time now. Most of them are not the news we used be able to hear. They're mostly opinionated kind of story telling and not seems to be more of factual nature. Lovely roses sister Mary! How thoughtful of your daughter to give those kinds of roses as a gift but especially, when she put the fallen lone rose near the Jerusalem plaque! I celebrated with you sister that day! As Christians, we sometimes forget that the Lord use mostly "flawed" ones to accomplish His will. I see Pres. Trump as a man of words/promises no matter what the media reports. We, as Christians must never forget that our spiritual enemies can also mimic to be like an angel of light...May the Lord continue to strengthen us and guide us and always give us His gift of discernment especially in these trying times. May we not be deceived easily with anything that is being broadcasted but instead cling to the Only Truth! To God be the glory and praying with you. God bless.
ReplyDeleteOh, my, that is really something about that rose and how your daughter placed it on that plaque! I am SO thankful for our President doing what he did. God bless him forever. You are so right, it is SO awful how the news gets so distorted and twisted. God knows the truth, and He will always bless those who take a stand for His chosen people and land. Yes, dear friend, let's keep praying for the peace of Jerusalem! Dear Lord, let it be.
ReplyDeleteLove these kinds of stories. No coincidences, sister...
ReplyDeleteThe roses are beautiful! May peace and protection be upon Jerusalem!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know their was a Peace rose. So perfect how she placed it on the plaque. Your posts often make me go to the bible and open to the verse!! Will just write out some of them its so beautiful! Blessings to you and your family! Shalom!
ReplyDelete"Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem!! May those who love you be at peace!..."
May there be shalom within your walls--
quietness within your palaces."
For the sake of my brothers and friends,
I now say: "Shalom be within you."
For the sake of the House
of ADONAI our God,
I will seek your good. Psalm 122:6~9
