Fitted With the Right Shoes

Last week’s chiropractic adjustments did wonders for my lower back and now my doctor is my new best friend.   There are a few things he can’t adjust like my stiff right knee, but he demonstrated exercises I can do.   The other thing he addressed is my over-pronated, flat feet so I’m on the hunt for a new pair of shoes with extra support.   The battle is not thoroughly won, but I’m educated for the problems I face and I’m on my way to solve them. It’s so odd that at this same time I’m getting educated in the “Shoes of Peace,” part of the armor I put on every day but have forgotten how dynamic it is.   Last night I tuned into a Bible teaching and am eager to share it because many of us are in a spiritual battle.    First, it helped to be reminded that the enemy is not the abusive person in my life using artillery of emotional and mental tactics.   Christians fight against the despotisms, the master spirits who are world rulers of this present darkness, against forces

Plausible PC Solution

He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”   John 9:25 Do you remember that guy in the gospel whom Jesus touched and though he was born blind, he was able to see?   The teachers of the law were irate and gave him a hard time, but he shrugged his shoulders and said, “All I can tell you is that I couldn’t see, but I’m seeing now!”   That’s how I feel today.   I can really relate to this guy. At work yesterday, I backed up my photo files from my laptop onto a CD.   In the evening, I turned on my laptop only to find out that I could not type.   My m’s, for instance, were 6’s, etc.   I asked my husband to Google this problem on his desktop since I couldn’t type.   For 30 minutes we tried to follow directions using the Nmlk key and shutting down and booting up tons of times.   Stumped, he gave up, and my laptop rested in my lap.   I didn’t know what to do. This is where it gets weird and the cynics laugh.

Susanna’s Shabbat Prayer

Deuteronomy 4:9    “Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children’s children—   Our family is steeped in the Jewish roots of Christianity and Friday evenings bring a form of a “Shabbat” service unique to us.     The experience is not about Jewish performance.   It’s about thankfulness, surrender, God’s promise to heal us and it’s about family.   Jesus always shows up and joins us.   How can He not in the breaking of the bread in the midst of us?” Finally, last Friday evening at sunset comprised our whole family together under one roof!    Our plan was to celebrate Susanna’s fourth birthday.   But before feasting and opening presents, we all agreed to a Shabbat prayer time.   Seated around the dining room table, Susanna shouted “I will pray!”   We usually let her lead when we say grace, but this tim
