My friend was excited about attending a healing service in one of those mega auditoriums with a famous TV evangelist. I admire those special servants of God who are willing to pray for the sick to be healed. When faith arises in those huge gatherings of believers, God can do the impossible. It is exciting; I’m glad she got to go!
In Acts 5:15 it says: As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.
It is God who is the healer and He works through His vessels that have the faith to believe and take Him at His Word.
I have a prayer need, but I don’t think I necessarily have to ask a big name to intercede. Everybody in the body of Christ is a big name because we belong to the head which is Jesus. I recognize that there are some who God uses regularly to pray for the sick. I have seen many healings because of the faith of the Christian bloggers over the months. I love hearing testimonies of what God has done! The faith and love in the Body of Christ never ceases to amaze me.
When I was in California a few weeks ago, I attended Susanna’s pediatrician appointment and we pointed out a bump above her left eye that we noticed back in November. The doctor called it a cyst and did not seem overly concerned about it. She measured it and documented it but since it is not bothering Susanna, she told us to wait. My daughter remarked: “Mom, let’s cover this with some heavy-duty prayer; that cyst doesn’t need to be there.” So I ask for your prayers for my granddaughter, Susanna, today.
Here is a close up photo and you can view the bump over her left eye.

I agree. The promises of God are "yes and amen". God bless you and thank you for your encouraging words.
ReplyDeleteLifting this little sweetie in prayer today for sure. Just thought I would mention that one of my sons has had many such harmless cysts removed very easily (from various different places)....others he has just left as they were causing no problem. I will definitely pray for wisdom for your doc. and peace of mind for both you and your daughter. Have a wonderful day. Blessings, Debbie

ReplyDeleteYou and yours come to mind often, Mary. Knowing how rugged your journey has been in recent months, I'm sorry to hear another concern has come to call.
ReplyDeleteThere must be something absolutely amazing the Lord has in mind for this little one. Surrounded by a praying Mom & GrandMom, and now a large cross section of cyberspace, He is up to something good. He always is.
