Outside My Window...
I see an empty parking lot with no cars parked with eager-to-buy customers. Sigh.

I Am Thinking...
I have been unsuccessful finding a used baby crib at the thrift stores and garage sales.


I Am Thankful For...
The prayer time with my DH this morning using Stormie Omartian's books praying for your spouse.
I Am Wearing...
Tan slacks and a black top and a beige sweater.

I Am Remembering...
all the exercise I got stacking firewood that my DH cut yesterday afternoon. The joy of country living.
I Am Going...
To the beauty shop tomorrow to get my hair cut and colored! Yippe.
I Am Reading...
90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper
I Am Hoping...
for a big cash sale this week. Can you tell?

On My Mind...
my family in the midwest and all the pretty colors of fall at this time of year.

From the Learning Rooms...
realizing again the significance of my faith as I ask Jesus to heal many I'm praying for and do miracles for my family and friends just like in the gospel of Mark today where I read He required faith in their asking.

Noticing That...
many stores in town are closed and not as many people seem to be shopping.

Pondering These Words...
"Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' and to the south, 'Do not hold them back.' Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth - everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made." Isaiah 43:5-7

From The Kitchen...
homemade chicken noodle soup and homemade pumpkin bread for supper when I get home from work tonight.

Around The House...
realizing my pantry needs organizing.

One of My Favorite Things...
is planning my Thanksgiving menu and writing out my shopping list.

    I read that book too about 90 minutes in heaven. That man had a long recovery but it was amazing. Can I come for dinner tonight? It sounds really good and much cooler than the 80 we are having in Phoenix. I'm continuing to pray.

    I love reading your Daybook! and seeing more of your precious heart. I will be praying the Lord brings a BUYER!!! and shows you to a wonderful crib! I will be needing one of those myself come to think of it :)

    Your chicken noodle soup and pumpkin bread so divine! We made homemade chicken and rice soup with homemade cornbread :) Great minds huh!!

    Times passes by so quickly. Days come and go and I find myself still not able to get around the blogging world as I would like, as I used to because of sickness, etc....BUT...I love you dear friend and I so enjoyed reading your thoughts here today. You bring a smile to my face every time I come here and today as I read each of your thoughts, I smiled at the tenderness and love that you truly have inside your mind and heart and how it radiates out to all who come here and that my precious, precious friend is because you love the Lord so much. The Venomous Intruder

It’s the middle of rattlesnake season here on the ranch.  The local news anchor confirmed it.   I’ve seen two already.    While driving along our dirt road yesterday, I mistook a virulent enemy for a branch. I backed up the car, looked again and noticed the branch shifted revealing a rattle at its end. A Memorial Day Reflection

  Memorial Day is always noteworthy for me and my girls.  Next Thursday marks the third year of missing their father, my husband. So many thoughts  run through my mind.  The journey of loss takes on various emotions.  The strongest feeling, at first, was emptiness.  In a split second, I would forget he departed forever.  I imagined things I needed to talk to him about when he got back home.  My mind is realistic now.  He's not coming back.  There will be no more times of sitting on the porch swing together on the front deck staring at the moon and the stars.  He would tell me all he knew about the majestic night sky. I have so much I wish I could tell him, like the excitement of seeing our oldest grandchild make a decision to follow Jesus and get baptized on Mother's Day!  And our little Amy, 11 years old, I wish he could have seen her on stage receiving her induction to the National Honor Society. Hearts for the Kingdom Author Interview

When I finished reading Hearts for the Kingdom last week, I contacted the author, Cho Larson.   We talked about the book and he graciously agreed to be my guest today.  Together we hope to inspire you in your journey of faith to pursue God with a heart that is alive and beating for the Kingdom of God.
