Lunch at Gooseberries

The very word “sisters” has come to mean a bond of soul mates that naturally provide love and support. Barbara Mathias


I’ve heard some of you say it and now I have experienced it, too, that when you meet your blogger sisters in person, you connect from the heart! Yesterday, Michele, from Beelieve You Can, organized a luncheon for AZ blogger sisters at Gooseberries Tea Room in Phoenix. I was excited to meet three of the bloggers I follow and to meet three new blogger sisters!

I love this picture because everyone looks so happy. It was a blessing to meet Michele in person; she is a woman who loves the Lord! To the right of Michele, it was great getting to know Sherry, who I can best describe as a sweetheart. To the right of Sherry is Donetta. Can you see that twinkle in her eye? She is fun loving! Then to her right is Marty, a woman of class. I eagerly checked out these three new blogger sisters and found their blogs to be similar to the neat things I perceived about them at lunch. It is amazing to me how our hearts connect in the blogosphere just like as if we were face to face.


Charlotte, on the left, co-hosts Spiritual Sundays. She is a seasoned woman of God and such a joy! Debbie, on the right, is from Heart Choices; also she is a guestwriter for other blogs. I always perceive a sweetness on her blog and now I can tell you, she is the real deal.




I thank God for this wonderful opportunity to meet Christian sisters who enjoy blogging and filling the blogosphere with the aroma of Christ!

    It as a joy to be with you as well. Oh how desperately I wanted to hear your story. Those things that you have witnessed in him. Your so fortunate to have a husband who is one with you in the faith. rich that what it is just rich.
    I crashed so hard today under an onslaught of accusation and just was left shipwrecked. My goodness when something is right the old adversary just wont tolerate it.
    Well something must be really right. :)

    I so enjoyed meeting you. I have told Charlotte that I think we should get together at least every other month. Then we can really get to know each other, and enjoy the wonderful Christian fellowship that we each share. I just left with such a happy heart. Great post.     What a wonderful time you all had! I hope you can make this a regular fellowship time even after Michele leaves and comes back east. I was there in spirit. I love that tea room. I've been there several times over the years with Michele when I've come to visit.

A Memorial Day Reflection

  Memorial Day is always noteworthy for me and my girls.  Next Thursday marks the third year of missing their father, my husband. So many thoughts  run through my mind.  The journey of loss takes on various emotions.  The strongest feeling, at first, was emptiness.  In a split second, I would forget he departed forever.  I imagined things I needed to talk to him about when he got back home.  My mind is realistic now.  He's not coming back.  There will be no more times of sitting on the porch swing together on the front deck staring at the moon and the stars.  He would tell me all he knew about the majestic night sky. I have so much I wish I could tell him, like the excitement of seeing our oldest grandchild make a decision to follow Jesus and get baptized on Mother's Day!  And our little Amy, 11 years old, I wish he could have seen her on stage receiving her induction to the National Honor Society. Hearts for the Kingdom Author Interview

When I finished reading Hearts for the Kingdom last week, I contacted the author, Cho Larson.   We talked about the book and he graciously agreed to be my guest today.  Together we hope to inspire you in your journey of faith to pursue God with a heart that is alive and beating for the Kingdom of God.
