Spiritual Sundays

Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD. Psalm 27:14 Sometimes it is hard to wait for the Lord. I heard a teacher this week say the word “wait” means pain. That’s the truth! The same teacher gave another definition of wait: “being braided together in God.” I like that one better! Be sure to check out the inspirational writings at Spiritual Sundays . Thanks to Ginger and Charlotte for hosting this site and encouraging us today to seek the Lord.

A Special Inspiration

Thanks to Andrea, at Arise 2 Write , I'm able to post about this lovely Inspirational Blog Award today. It was created by a young teenage girl, a blogger who loves the Lord. Andrea displayed it today on her website for those of us who follower her blog and I wanted to do the same on my blog. I hope it blesses many as it blessed me! Have a wonderful day, everyone. Keep writing inspirationally as you live for Jesus. I eagerly pass this on to you, my followers, too. The Message Bible speaks about 2 Corinthians 2:15-16 like this: 14-16 In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. Through us, he brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere we go, people breathe in the exquisite fragrance. Because of Christ, we give off a sweet scent rising to God, which is recognized by those on the way of salvation—an aroma redolent with life. But those on the way to destruction treat us more like the stench from a rotting corpse. 16-17 This is a terrific respo

The Day of Judgment

I was a little girl in the mid ’50’s and enjoyed watching Romper Room on TV every morning. Miss Nancy would end the program by looking into her magic mirror and speak the names of children she saw having a good day. With a name like “Mary” you would think she would see me every day, but I remember telling my mother that Miss Nancy doesn’t call my name and I worried that she didn’t see me. My mother told me that she did see me but that the program went off the air before she could speak my name. Still I was bothered that she didn't call out my name. At Sunset on September 18th, we will celebrate the Jewish feast of Rosh Hashanah. This year it falls on Shabbot (Friday evening). This feast ushers in a brand new year on the Jewish calendar. Everything of the past year is cancelled and the New Year starts fresh. Rosh Hashanah is characterized by the blowing of the Shofar, a trumpet made from a ram's horn, intended to awaken the listener from his or her "slumber" and alert

Recognition Time

Neno's award is given to those who love blogging, love to encourage friendships through blogging, and who help others seek the reasons why we all love blogging. This award was given to me by Charlotte, Charlotte's Weblog , and also Andrea from Arise 2 Write . Thank you, my sisters! I lovingly pass this award on to any of my visitors who may not have been given it. Just leave me a comment that you received it. Thank you, Rosel, from Off The Beaten Trek , who designed this special gift on behalf of those praying for her health. It is so wonderful to have Christian brothers and sisters who care about those burdens that we carry. I'm so blessed to be a part of this praying on-line community of wonderful friends who give of their precious time holding up the concerns of others. I just love this little prayer warrior and it makes me want to stop what I'm doing and pray!

Spiritual Sundays

Thank you Ginger and Charlotte for hosting Spiritual Sundays and encouraging all of us! Today I am sharing a scripture that is upholding us in a deep spiritual battle. My daughter and I want to thank everyone who has been praying for us. We are deeply grateful and know that God is contending with those that are contending with us. We want to take some time this week while we are together to fast and pray for others. I know many of your concerns that we can pray for. Do feel free to email me if we can serve you in prayer. I love each one of you and cherish our friendships! May the Lord bless you as we enter into a new week. No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD. Isa. 54:17
Yesterday I celebrated my 38th wedding anniversary! My husband is in AZ and I am in San Diego, but my daughter had a good idea. She said I should celebrate 38 reasons why I love this man! He works hard for a living. 7. He listens. 8. He takes out the garbage. 9. He maintains the home repairs. 10. He has a great sense of humor. 11. He prays for me and our family. 12. He loves our granddaughter. 13. He is a tither and a giver. 14. He is creative. 15. Life is an adventure with him. 16. He serves the Lord in our church and community. 17. He is a great cook. 18. He maintains the yard. 19. He encourages my friendships with women. 20. He is handsome. 21. He loves Israel, the apple of God's eye. 22. He is a good researcher. 23. He loves animals. 24.
